AMSTERDAM, 1 November 2023 – TIP Group, a leading global player in transportation and logistics solutions, is thrilled to announce the acquisition of Botlek Trailer Services, owned by De Rijke Group, one of Rotterdam’s oldest family-owned transport company founded in 1945.     BTS is a full-scale workshop with two locations, operating besides TIP’s existing Botlek branch and workshop, and servicing similar customers as TIP. They bring long-standing relationships with customers such as Hoyer, P&O FerryMasters, Schmitz CargoBull, CLDN, Ewals, DFDS and Krone.

The transportation of perishable goods, such as food, medicine and chemicals, necessitates the use of refrigerated vehicles (reefer). However, they have a substantial environmental impact in terms of energy consumption and emissions. To address these challenges, it is crucial to transition to electric-powered reefers, the E-Reefer, which offer a greener alternative while maintaining the safety and efficiency of cold chain logistics.
